Korea visit preparation
Check the visit facts before your group reaches the museum.
Opening hours, last entry, special-exhibition fees, reservations, and bag rules may not be the same. Put the current facts on one card so your group knows what is confirmed and what still needs a question.
Separate the facts that are easy to mix up
A venue can be open while one gallery is closed. General admission can be free while a special exhibition has a fee. The building's closing time can also be later than its last-entry time. Use the venue's current official page as the source and write the date when you checked it.
For example, the National Museum of Korea currently publishes regular hours, last-admission times, closed days, admission information, and a free coat-storage service on its official visitor page. Those details are useful examples of what to check, not permanent promises for every date or every museum.
Your seven-line museum visit card
- Venue and branch: Write the complete official name and location. Similar names or several branches can lead a group to the wrong place.
- Visit date: Include the weekday and check for holiday or gallery closures that apply to that exact date.
- Opening and closing: Copy the hours for that day from the official source.
- Last entry: Write this separately from closing time. Leave enough time for the visit you actually want.
- Admission or reservation: Note whether general admission, a special exhibition, a tour, or a group booking has a separate rule or fee.
- Group needs: List only relevant needs, such as bag or coat storage, wheelchair access, a quiet meeting point, or an interpreter.
- Source and open question: Save the official page, the date checked, and the one point that still needs confirmation.
Turn the card into a clear group briefing
Read the card aloud in under one minute. Ask a partner to repeat the visit date, arrival target, last-entry time, and meeting point. If either person gives a different answer, correct the card before the trip rather than relying on memory.
Fictional card: Venue: National Museum of Korea. Visit date: Friday, October 9. Official hours and last entry: recheck on the museum page during the week of the visit. Admission: confirm any special exhibition separately. Group need: coat storage. Open question: is a reservation required for our chosen exhibition? This example is deliberately incomplete until the current official page is checked.
Keep one route for changes
Name one person who will check the official page again on the morning of the visit and tell the group if anything changed. For a wider travel backup, use the Korea travel help route card. For a precise arrival location, use the Seoul subway meeting-point card.
