One station can have many ways out

Prepare a meeting point people can find after they leave the train.

A station name alone may not tell a visitor where to stand. Add the line, numbered exit, street-level landmark, meeting time, and fallback plan before your group separates.

Separate the train route from the final meeting point

Seoul's official public-transport information says its subway app can provide route recommendations and information about exits and restrooms. Seoul's official visitor information also notes that subway lines are identified by color and that station signs use Korean, English, and Chinese.

Those tools can help with the journey, but a useful meeting note still needs a precise place above ground. Live service, exit access, construction, weather, and crowd conditions can change, so recheck the route and meeting point on the day.

Your seven-line meeting-point card

  1. Station: Copy the exact current station name from the route result.
  2. Line: Add the line name or number, especially if the station is a transfer point.
  3. Exit: Record the numbered exit you plan to use. Mark it recheck.
  4. Landmark: Name one visible street-level place near that exit. Do not use a vague phrase such as “outside the station.”
  5. Time: Write the meeting time and a short arrival window.
  6. Fallback: Choose one second place or action if the exit is closed or someone is delayed.
  7. Contact owner: Name the person who will check messages and confirm a change.

Practice the handoff, not just the route

Give the card to a practice partner for ten seconds, then hide it. Ask the partner to repeat the station, line, exit, landmark, time, and fallback. Anything forgotten is the part to make clearer. If you want to practise saying the plan in Korean, ask a teacher to review the wording before relying on it.

Fictional card: Station: Example Station. Line: Example Line. Exit: 3, recheck on the day. Landmark: information sign beside the street entrance. Time: 10:00, wait until 10:10. Fallback: meet at the station information area. Contact owner: group lead. The names and details are invented.

Keep travel information current

Check the responsible transit operator and official route information for the actual trip. A language lesson can help you make the meeting plan clearer, but Ashley does not operate the subway, track live service, guarantee accessibility, or provide transport, emergency, or official interpreting services.

For a wider contact plan, use the Korea travel help route card. If the group is arriving on different flights, use the separate airport transfer facts card.

Rehearse one real meeting handoff

Bring a sanitized route and one communication problem to a lesson. Leave booking codes, private phone numbers, and personal schedules out of a general inquiry. Scope, availability, and fee are agreed separately.
